AHC20516 Certificate II in Arboriculture


The AHC20516 Certificate II in Arboriculture is considered an entry level qualification into the arboricultural industry, and is required by most power companies as a minimum qualification. This qualification covers using a woodchipper, using chainsaws, traffic control as well as other necessary skills and knowledge for the industry.






ArbTrack Pre-Requisites:
  • Must be currently employed in the industry
  • Must have EWP Licence from WorkSafe if using an EWP
  • Must hold current HLTAID003 Provide first aid
  • Must hold either CPCCOHS1001A, or CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card).

Electives: An additional 6 elective units
ArbTrack Entry Requirements: Learners must be able bodied and must have full use of all limbs. Learners must have good hearing, or wear a hearing aid device to allow them to easily communicate with other personnel. Learners must have good vision, and if corrected vision then they must wear their prescription glasses/contact lenses to the course, including using prescription safety glasses for works operation. Learners must be in a fit state for work. Learners must understand and speak the English language fluently.
Duration: 1 year for new entrants. Recognition of prior learning is offered to all candidates.
Ratio: Ratio will be different per unit of competency.
Cost: Costs for this course are a non-refundable application fee of $330.00 (GST inclusive), then $400.00 (GST does not apply) to each unit thereafter.
Assessment: Written, practical demonstration and verbal assessments.
Expiry: This course does not expire.
What to Bring: Candidates will need to bring their own personal protective equipment which will be discussed during the first lesson.
