The Amenity Tree Pruning course is an absolute must for the dedicated Arborist. This intensive course covers the holistic approach to amenity tree maintenance and target pruning, including responsible practices and Australian Standard approved techniques. Candidates will also cover species-specific pruning, growth habits, hazards when pruning and the Australian Standard for Pruning.

ArbTrack Pre-Requisites:
  • Chainsaw accreditation AHCARB205A or equivalent
  • Aerial rescue AHCARB306A or equivalent
  • Climbers: AHCARB204A or equivalent
  • EWP Operators: Current EWP Licence

AHCPGD203 Prune shrubs and small Trees

ESI Stream:
UETTDRVC33A Apply pruning techniques to vegetation control near live electrical apparatus
UETTDRVC25A Use elevated work platform to cut vegetation above ground level near live electrical apparatus

ArbTrack Entry Requirements Learners must be able bodied and must have full use of all limbs. Learners must have good hearing, or wear a hearing aid device to allow them to easily communicate with other personnel. Learners must have good vision, and if corrected vision then they must wear their prescription glasses/contact lenses to the course, including using prescription safety glasses for works operation. Learners must be in a fit state for work. Learners must understand and speak the English language fluently.
Duration: 2-3 days, depending on experience and competence.
Ratio: 10 learners to 1 trainer/assessor
Cost: $500.00 per person (GST does not apply).
Assessment: Written, practical demonstration and verbal assessments.
What to Bring: Comfortable footwear for walking.
Notebook and pen/s.
