EWP Release and Rescue

The EWP Release and Rescue course is a comprehensive course covering the requirements of UETTDRRF03B Perform EWP rescue and UETTDRRF08B Perform EWP controlled descent escape. It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a raised EWP by a work party member on the ground and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions. It encompasses responsibilities health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practice as part of the normal way of doing work. The UETTDRRF08B unit covers the controlled descent escape procedures in the work place. It specifies the mandatory requirements for self rescue from a raised EWP.

ArbTrack Entry Requirements: Learners must be able bodied and must have full use of all limbs. Learners must have good hearing, or wear a hearing aid device to allow them to easily communicate with other personnel. Learners must have good vision, and if corrected vision then they must wear their prescription glasses/contact lenses to the course, including using prescription safety glasses for works operation. Learners must be in a fit state for work. Learners must understand and speak the English language fluently.
Duration: 1 day, depending on experience and competence.
Ratio: 6 students per trainer/assessor.
Cost: $350.00 per person (GST does not apply).
Assessment: Written, practical demonstration and verbal assessments.
